Alpha Pain & Wellness Center A multidisciplinary approach to total health At Alpha, we have identified the key components that contribute to acute and chronic pain.

Our interventional pain specialists work hand in hand with our Doctor of Physical Therapy and other members of our rehabilitation team. Together we develop a multi-specialty pain management program, which not only addresses the elimination of pain, but also prevents future re-occurrences or relapses. This is achieved by developing aggressive rehabilitation protocols for each individual pain patient, by our Physical Medicine Specialists.

Pain does not always show up where the real problem is. A skilled physical therapist looks at how your whole body moves, not just the spot that hurts, to figure out what is really going on. That is often the difference between temporary relief and lasting recovery. Have you ever been surprised to learn the source of your pain was somewhere you did not expect?

Pain after a car accident does not always show up right away. Stiffness, headaches, neck pain, and back pain may take hours or even days to appear.

Physical therapy and chiropractic care can both help with pain and movement, but they focus on different things. Physical therapy often works on strength, mobility, and movement. Chiropractic care often focuses on joints, the spine, and body mechanics.
At Alpha, both can be part of the same recovery plan. Click the link in our bio to book an assessment or call 708-788-3880.

Foot pain should not be ignored when it starts affecting your movement or keeps getting worse.
Here are 4 signs it may be time to get it checked:
Pain changes the way you walk
You may start limping or putting more weight on the other foot.
Swelling does not improve
Ongoing swelling may be related to an injury or inflammation.
Numbness or tingling
These sensations may indicate that a nerve is being affected.
Pain keeps getting worse
Pain that increases instead of improving deserves a closer evaluation.
These signs do not always mean something serious, but they should not be ignored. Click the link in our bio to schedule an evaluation or call 708-788-3880.

Chronic pain is not only pain that lasts a long time. It may continue for more than 3 months, keep returning, or remain even after an injury or condition should have healed.
Sleep problems and difficulty working, moving, or completing everyday tasks are also important signs. They show that pain is affecting more than one part of your life.
These signs do not confirm a diagnosis on their own, but they are good reasons to seek a closer evaluation. A provider can review when the pain started, what makes it worse, and which treatment options may be appropriate for you.
If you recognize these signs, click the link in our bio to schedule an evaluation or call 708-788-3880.

Posture is not a single perfect position. It is how your body organizes itself while you sit, stand, move, and work. When the same position is repeated for hours, certain muscles and joints may become overloaded. Small changes to your workstation, movement habits, and body mechanics can make a meaningful difference. When discomfort keeps returning, an assessment can help identify the movement patterns that may be contributing to it.

A desk job may not look physically demanding, but hours of keyboarding, reaching, leaning forward, or staying in one position can contribute to musculoskeletal symptoms over time. Pay attention when discomfort repeatedly returns during work, affects your movement, or continues after you leave the desk. A rehabilitation assessment can look at your symptoms, work tasks, movement patterns, and workstation habits to help determine the next step. Taking short movement breaks and adjusting your setup may also reduce unnecessary strain.
