Did you know that most traditional soy sauce contains gluten?

This turkey patty was made with San-J Organic Gluten Free Tamari, giving it all the savory flavor of soy sauce—without the gluten.

I first sautéed the turkey patty in extra-virgin olive oil with onions, sea salt, and pepper, then simmered it in San-J gluten-free organic tamari. I paired it with sweet potato fries and homemade marinated artichoke hearts.

This meal provides lean protein, antioxidant-rich flavonoids, healthy fats, and fiber-rich carbohydrates—all on one delicious plate.

Gut-health meals do NOT have to be boring!

Chronic inflammation is a major contributor to chronic disease—and the gut and liver play important roles in regulating inflammation and metabolic health.

Your liver is one of the body’s primary detoxification organs. When metabolic and inflammatory burden becomes excessive, it can contribute to fat accumulation in the liver, insulin resistance, abnormal cholesterol levels, increased body fat, and vascular inflammation. Fatty liver (MASLD) is one of the most common metabolic dysfunctions I see in practice.

The good news? Inflammation can be measured.

I commonly evaluate:
• hs-CRP – chronic systemic and cardiovascular inflammation
• F***l calprotectin – intestinal inflammation
• Secretory IgA – gut mucosal immune activity
• F***l eosinophil markers – eosinophilic immune activity

The gut–liver connection matters. Identifying the drivers of inflammation allows us to address the root cause rather than simply managing symptoms.

Another Grain-Free Plate! 🥗🐟

Eating grain-free doesn’t mean sacrificing flavor or satisfaction.

Today’s plate features fresh Alaskan salmon, lightly sautéed in extra-virgin olive oil with sea salt, black pepper, and oregano. It’s paired with organic sautéed peppers and onions, fresh homegrown basil, and capers for a burst of Mediterranean-inspired flavor.

On the side are two small organic sweet potatoes drizzled with extra-virgin olive oil and finished with fresh florets of homegrown cilantro.

Simple. Nutrient-dense. Anti-inflammatory. And full of healthy fats, quality protein, antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber to nourish both the gut and the rest of the body.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated—it can be fresh, colorful, and absolutely delicious.

With the love we share with others there is never goodbyes, for our love is eternal and will always, and forever live in our soul. When our body goes back to the loving arms of Mother Earth and our spirit soars upwards to Father Sky, this love in our soul will guide us to our loved ones that have passed before us.
