Dear St. Luke’s School of Nursing Alumni,
As we wrap up Nurses Week and celebrate the birthday of Florence Nightingale, I want to pause and extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you.
This year’s Nurses Week theme reminds us that nursing is more than a profession—it is a calling grounded in compassion, courage, excellence, and an unwavering commitment to those we serve. Those values have defined St. Luke’s nurses for generations, and they live on through each of you.
Whether you are actively practicing, leading, educating, mentoring, or supporting the profession in other meaningful ways, your impact matters. You have cared for patients and families in their most vulnerable moments, advanced the profession through leadership and innovation, and upheld the proud legacy of the St. Luke’s School of Nursing.
Florence Nightingale believed that nursing was both an art and a science, guided by service and purpose. That spirit continues through you—our alumni—who exemplify what it truly means to serve with skill, heart, and integrity.
Thank you for all that you do, and for all that you have done, in service to others and to our profession. We are proud of you, grateful for you, and inspired by the legacy you continue to build every day.
With sincere appreciation and pride,
Jill
President,
St. Luke’s School of Nursing Alumni Association
