Meet the Team Friday! Meet Amber Ramos UI Rehab's Structured Day Program Support Specialist.
Amber has been in the health field since 2005 right after graduating high school; while working she attained her certification for Med tech, CPR and Crisis Prevention. She then moved and began working in the brain injury field and has continued this for the past 12 years. She began as a residential aide and moved up in position to lead rehabilitation aide. After some time in that position, she then was promoted to Structured Day Program Instructor. After gaining experience, while also being supervised and working directly under her supervisor who is also a Nutritionist, she then became a Day Program Support Specialist.
Amber now runs several workouts and movement-based groups a week and a nutrition education group once a week. She has helped establish workshops on focused topics such as social cuing and boundaries, health and wellness, attention and concentration, and memory and recall. She has been dedicated to this position for 2 years and is ready and willing to learn and grow for further career opportunities.
Amber is a Caring, mountain-view dreamer who's a boy mom with the ultimate life goal of raising a decent human being. Her heart is full of big goals and even bigger dreams. She is an ambivert who enjoys the best of both worlds- quiet moments and cozy nights, just as much laughter, adventures and making memories. Life is all about chasing dreams and enjoying the little things.
