When Stephanie imagined her future, she wasn’t sure what was possible.

Today, she’s gaining real work experience, building confidence, and connecting with children as an assistant teacher, all thanks to supporters like you. You can help create more stories like Stephanie’s.

🌟 Supporting Growth, Championing Inclusion 🌟

Adrianna, one of our dedicated leaders in Vocational Training Services, is currently attending the APSE (Association of People Supporting Employment First) Conference in Texas!

Adrianna’s commitment to professional growth reflects her passion for supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving meaningful employment. APSE is a national leader in advancing Employment First - the belief that individuals with disabilities deserve the opportunity to pursue competitive, integrated employment in their communities, earning real wages for their valuable contributions.

At Via, we believe in empowering our employees to continue learning, growing, and leading in their fields. By supporting opportunities like this conference, we are investing not only in our staff, but in the people and communities we serve.

Adrianna’s advocacy and dedication help create more inclusive workplaces where everyone’s abilities are recognized and celebrated. We’re so proud to support her journey and the important work she does every day!

🌱🌼 Growing Together at Via! 🌼🌱
Two of the people we support, Deb and Tom, have been enjoying some sunshine and fresh air while getting their hands dirty - in the best way! With the help of our amazing DSPs, they took a trip to the store to pick out their own plants, carefully choosing what they wanted to grow.
Back at Via, the real fun began in our backyard garden. Everyone pitched in, digging, planting, and taking turns watering. It was a true team effort filled with smiles and laughter.
Spending time outdoors and connecting with nature isn’t just fun, it’s great for overall well-being. Gardening can help reduce stress, boost mood, and give a sense of accomplishment as participants watch their hard work grow and thrive. 🌿
Now, the garden is more than just a beautiful space, it’s something they can take pride in. Our participants will continue caring for their plants throughout the season, nurturing them every step of the way.
We can’t wait to see what blooms! 🌼

Congratulations to Kali C. on completing the NADSP I program! 👏
Programs like NADSP provide meaningful opportunities for Direct Support Professionals to continue learning, grow in their careers, and advance in the field, all while strengthening the support they provide each day.
Kali shared:
“Participating in the NADSP Career Ladder Program gave me the opportunity to reflect on my journey while strengthening my skills as a DSP. It deepened my understanding of the ‘why’ behind the work we do every day and further fueled my passion for the support I provide.”

We’re proud to offer career pathways that support professional development, including ongoing training and opportunities for advancement, along with eligibility for pay increases through the program.
Way to go, Kali! 🌟

We’re incredibly grateful to PennDOT and the Edith L. Trees Charitable Trust for awarding us transportation grants that made FIVE new wheelchair-accessible vans possible for our staff. This generous investment expands our ability to serve and ensures more individuals can access the support they need safely and reliably. Thank you, PennDOT and the Edith L. Trees Charitable Trust, for helping to drive our mission forward!🚐

We recently had the pleasure of working with two impressive high school students, Addy and Joyce, through DECA, an organization that prepares students for careers in business, marketing, finance, hospitality, and entrepreneurship through hands-on, real-world experiences.
As part of their project, Addy and Joyce met with our President & CEO, Lisa Walkiewicz, to learn more about Via’s mission and impact. They then put their skills to work, identifying opportunities to further promote our organization within the community.
Their hard work paid off! Addy and Joyce recently advanced to the DECA International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. They presented their project, focused on Via, both at the state competition in Hershey and again on the international stage at ICDC.
We’re inspired by their initiative, professionalism, and thoughtful approach. Congratulations to Joyce and Addy on successfully completing their project and representing it at such a high level, and thank you for your interest in supporting Via!
