Today, the MWI Meadowbrook Women's Initiative presented a check for $7,500 for the ACLD Foundation to Aimee Keegan, Chief Development and Marketing Officer of ACLD at their annual luncheon at Jonathan's Restaurant.

The Meadowbrook Women's Initiative is an organization dedicated to promoting lifetime learning, serving the community and raising funds for worthwhile local causes.

We are incredibly grateful to MWI and their commitment to furthering ACLD's mission!

ACLD's got talent! 🎤🎶

This week, ACLD's Day Services had their talent show at Bethpage Public Library

The show featured 18 acts varying from stand up comedy, original poems, drummers, dancers and vocalists from across ACLD's day service programs. These performers practiced for weeks leading up to the performance, and worked together to put on a truly remarkable show.

Today, team members from our Development and Community Relations Department attended the 2026 Fair Media Council Folio Awards, recognizing the best in news, social media, and corporate/nonprofit communications.

Sarah Klaum, ACLD's Community and Digital Media Relations Manager was recognized with the Nonprofit Media Innovator of the Year for her work on Catalyst, ACLD's printed and digital publication. Attending the awards alongside Sarah were Aimee Keegan, Chief Development and Marketing Officer and Heather Angstreich, Assistant Director of Development and Community Relations.

In 2025, Catalyst transformed from it's traditional 8-page printed publication published twice a year to a streamlined 4-page digital and print publication, in an effort to deliver more timely human-centered stories with powerful calls to action that keep ACLD’s mission moving forward.

Sarah was also recognized in the program as one of the 2025 FMC All Stars, for her participation and success in the Fair Media Council's "Pitch the Media" series at their Masterclasses, giving attendees the opportunity to live-pitch stories for their organizations to a collection of journalists, reporters and producers, in an effort to build and cultivate relationships with the media and gain further exposure for each organization's mission.

Congratulations to all the other winners from today, it is an honor to tell stories alongside you all! 🎉

A huge thank you to Country Pointe Plainview for making a difference in more ways than one! On , we're proud to celebrate this community effort that supports people and our planet. 🌎♻️

Through their 5th Annual Spring Clothing Drive, residents came together to donate an incredible 5,272 pounds of clothing in support of ACLD. Their generosity helps create opportunities while also giving new life to items that might otherwise end up in landfills.
