You’ve heard the term, but what does it mean? 💓

“Barbie Tox” refers to Botox or another neuromodulator injected into the trapezius muscles—the large muscles running from the neck across the shoulders.

The aesthetic effect isn’t immediate. The muscle gradually relaxes and can become less prominent over the following weeks, with results varying by dose, anatomy, and individual response.

One important distinction: Barbie Tox doesn’t actually change your bone structure or make your shoulders narrower, it reduces activity and potentially the bulk of the trapezius muscle.

Because the trapezius plays an important role in shoulder and neck movement, dosing and placement matter which is why you always want to go with a trusted and licensed injector.
