I just celebrated my 100th class 🎉 and here is what I learned.
1. I can slow down.
I used to say I hated yoga. Too slow. Too boring. Too still.
Turns out, slowing down was exactly what I needed.
2.You don’t have to be perfect to show up. The old me would never have worked out in public in a sports bra. Now I care more about how I feel than what other people think.
3.You are allowed to take up space. I spent years asking for permission. Now I breathe deeply, stretch big, and trust my voice fully.
4. I can do hard things. Not because they’re easy but because I am always stronger than I think I am. And then a little bit more.
5. There is so much freedom in self-acceptance. You could always be more fit. You could always be less fit. And you are perfect just as you are.

100 classes later, the biggest transformation wasn’t physical.
It was learning to be comfortable in my own skin.
Here’s to more wisdom, more perspective, more ease.
Who knew 50 would be so much better than 20! (and 30 and 40 😉)

How often do you avoid your basic needs when your basic needs are the very thing that keep you grounded?
Sadly, when life feels overwhelming, the very things that support us are often the first things to disappear- even for those of us who preach this stuff for a living.
So in case you too are juggling life- kids, work, aging parents or just neglecting yourself because you are prioritizing someone or something above yourself- I’m here to say,
