Who’s on your team?
Health and a sense of wellbeing isn’t about comparison or goals so big you’re overwhelmed before you start. Sustainable health and wellness comes from showing up and doing what matters over and over. It can be challenging, though, when the priorities of your day are of equal or higher importance.
Having a team doesn’t require you to be an athlete. I believe you deserve a small team and chances are you may already have one. Your team may include your family, a friend, and a pet that loves to go on walks. As a nutrition, movement and mindfulness coach I would love to be part of your team.
Your goal may be as simple as spending a little more time in the kitchen preparing meals that sustain energy rather than depleting it. Finding time in the kitchen is not simple though; it may be downright impossible or feel like a grind. The good news is, there are lots of tips, skills, practices and actions that can make life in your kitchen more fun.
If maintaining mobility that supports your everyday tasks and activities - like putting your socks and shoes on without strain, going for a walk, or getting a stock pot out of the lower cabinet is what you want, I can guide you through a safe weekly or monthly movement practice to help with balance, agility, and strength for the day-to-day.
Perhaps your goal is to gain 1 to 2 pounds of lean muscle mass or more each week. If you would like to witness and feel how quick your body can change and adapt through its hermetic response to resistance training, cardio, fluid manipulation, whole healthy foods (and most importantly rest and recovery) then I’m excited to be on your team for that.
When it comes to inspiration, I see motivation on a circular path, something we all share. Together we have the ability to cultivate healthy patterns moment-to-moment, day-to-day and beyond … small, sustainable change over a long period of time adds up … so let’s get started, together.
