We are incredibly proud of the Care Camps Foundation Young Professionals Board for creating Under the Stars: Where Hope Makes Light!

From December 4–6 at Lazydays RV Resort in Tampa, our community will come together for a weekend of connection, purpose and outdoor fun. The event will include an exciting world-record attempt to create one continuous chain of 45,000 glow sticks, with each light representing a child or family member impacted by the healing power of camp.

You can be part of this special moment from anywhere. A $10 donation adds a glow stick to the chain and helps make camp experiences possible for children with cancer at no cost to their families. You do not need to attend the event to participate.

At pediatric oncology camp, kids living with and beyond cancer are not defined by a diagnosis.

They’re swimmers, artists, performers, pranksters, athletes, leaders, friends—and so much more. Camp creates space for adventure, creativity, laughter, and the everyday experiences of childhood. It reminds campers that their story includes far more than appointments, treatments, and hospital rooms.

Sometimes the most meaningful thing camp can offer is also the simplest: A place where kids can just be kids. 💛

Why pediatric oncology camp?

Because children affected by cancer deserve opportunities to experience adventure, independence, friendship, and fun in spaces that understand their individual needs.

Camp creates a community where medical experiences do not require an explanation and where children can connect through everything they share—while also being celebrated for everything that makes them unique.

It is not about forgetting what they have experienced. It is about making room for everything else they can experience.

We are honored to be selected as the beneficiary of the WBCCI Foundation’s long-standing Common Cents for Kids program.

We are so grateful for this generous $2,500 gift and for the opportunity to attend the Airstream Club International Rally in Minot, North Dakota. It was a joy to share the Care Camps Foundation mission with Airstream enthusiasts who understand the healing power of the outdoors.

We also appreciated the opportunity to display beautiful Airstream artwork at our booth, compliments of For the Love of Kids and Camping.

Thank you to the WBCCI Foundation and the entire Airstream community for welcoming us and helping make camp experiences possible for children with cancer. We are excited about this partnership and the impact we can make together.
