📦✨Boxed Play Space Fun!!📦✨
Turn an ordinary cardboard box into a magical play area for your baby! This is so much fun. We encourage you to get creative by adding all sorts of toys and activities for them to discover. Once you’ve removed all staples, tape, etc., and made sure it’s safe, pop your baby in the box and enjoy watching their curiosity in action! It's fun and free! 😍💖
The cozy space feels just like a snuggly blanket, giving your baby a safe and fun place to explore. Watch as they learn new things and build their vocabulary through play. 🧸
Why not give it a try and see what adventures await?

August is National Breastfeeding Month, a time to recognize the many ways families can be supported in meeting their infant feeding goals.

Home visitors are uniquely positioned to provide families with trusted, individualized support during pregnancy and after a baby arrives. Research from Healthy Families New York has explored how conversations between home visitors and families about breastfeeding may help support breastfeeding continuation.

This week, the Healthy Families America network had the opportunity to hear directly from Healthy Families New York researchers about their findings and what they may mean for home visiting practice.

The research reinforces the important role home visitors can play by creating space for ongoing conversations, responding to families’ questions and needs, and connecting families with information and resources that support their goals.

During National Breastfeeding Month, we celebrate the home visitors and families having these conversations every day and the research that helps us continue learning how to strengthen support for families.

Thank you, Dolly.

For decades, Dolly Parton has helped put books into the hands of millions of young children through her Imagination Library, beginning at birth.

And those books represent so much more than learning to read.

In the earliest years, sharing a book is a chance for babies and toddlers to hear new words, explore the world, connect with the people who love them and build the relationships that help their brains grow. Long before a child can read the words on a page, they’re learning through every story, snuggle, point and conversation.

Inspired by her own father, who never had the opportunity to learn to read, Dolly turned a deeply personal experience into a commitment to making books more accessible to families, regardless of where they live or what they earn.

Her work is a powerful reminder that every child deserves opportunities to learn, connect and thrive from the very beginning.

Thank you, Dolly, for believing in babies.

Substance use within a family is considered a risk for adverse childhood experiences (ACEs). In addition to the association with child abuse or neglect, the death of a parent due to overdose can have significant impact on a young child or adolescent. 💜💙 Prevention helps us get ahead of challenges so that individuals, families, and communities can be healthy and thrive.

Who doesn't love lemonade on a hot summer day?🍋 Our little learners had so much fun with our "Language and Lemonade" activity! We talked about ingredients, followed directions, and put lemons on trees with Q-tips—all while practicing communication, vocabulary, and fine motor skills. Every squeeze, stir, and sip was a hands-on adventure in problem solving and creative expression. We love turning everyday moments into meaningful learning experiences!😎💛
