๐ŸŽ“โœจ Celebrating Our Nurse Residency Graduates ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽ“๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐ŸŽ“

We recently celebrated our three cohorts of our nurse residency program at graduation ceremonies honoring an incredible milestone โ€“ one full year of growth, learning, and transformation from new nurse to confident clinician. ๐Ÿ’ช

๐Ÿฅณ This past year, these nurses have navigated the realities of beside care, built clinical judgement, round their voice, and grown into the kind of nurse their patients and teams can count on. ๐Ÿ’–

As their capstones, each resident presented an evidence-based quality improvement project to some of our nursing leaders, turning real problems theyโ€™ve identified into real solutions grounded in evidence and driven by a desire to make change. ๐Ÿ“Š

๐Ÿ’กThe first year of nursing is the hardest. Our residency program pairs new nurses with mentors and support during that critical transition, boosting confidence, retention, and patient safety. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ

๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽŠ Huge congratulations to our newest nurses! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿ’™

โ˜•๐ŸŒŸ Grounds & Rounds with the CNO ๐ŸŒŸโ˜•

Last week, we had the pleasure of rounding with our night shift teams for Grounds & Rounds, sharing coffee, conversation, and meaningful discussion about our Nursing Professional Practice Model.

These informal connections provide an opportunity to listen, learn, and engage with our nursing teams about the professional values, relationships, and practices that guide the exceptional care we provide every day. We are grateful to our night shift staff for taking the time to share their insights, experiences, and commitment to nursing excellence.

Thank you to all who joined us for a cup of coffee and conversation.โ˜•๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿฅ

๐ŸŽ† Happy 4th of July from UHS Nursing ๐ŸŽ‡

While everyone else is watching fireworks and grilling, our nurses are making sure the only things lighting up are smiles! Just like a good fireworks show, we're de-light-ful. ๐ŸŒญ๐Ÿ”๐Ÿ‰

For everyone celebrating this weekend: enjoy the show, watching the kids near sparklers, and please, don't light anything on a wooden porch! If you visit us next week, we'd like you to have all the fingers you started this weekend with.

๐Ÿ—ฝ Happy Independence Day from all of us at UHS Nursing. โค๏ธ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

Rain or shine, our nurses showed up strong ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŒง๏ธ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™€๏ธ

We had an amazing time at the Corporate Challenge, with our team taking on both the 5K and the timed mile with plenty of energy and team spirit!

While the weather had other plans and washed out the executive mile and 3-mile relay, it definitely didnโ€™t dampen our enthusiasm. โ˜”
Turns out weโ€™re pretty good at running outside too. Who knew all those laps around the hospital would pay off? ๐Ÿ˜‰

Proud of this crew for getting out there, representing nursing, and supporting one another every step (and mile!) of the way. Looking forward to the next raceโ€”hopefully with a little less rain and just as much fun!
