It’s almost Memorial Day weekend.
The grills will light.
The lakes will fill.
Kids will run barefoot through the grass while flags wave quietly in the wind.

But before the sales, the beach trips, the long weekend plans…
remember somebody’s son never came home.
Somebody’s husband missed every summer after.
Somebody’s mama folded a flag instead of hugging her child again.

Freedom has always had a cost.
And this weekend, while we enjoy the beauty of ordinary life,
may we never forget the people who gave theirs so we still could. 🇺🇸
