The Glucose Whisperer Stop guessing and start understanding. Real-world metabolic physiology and evidence-based strategies to turn glucose data into sustainable lifestyle freedom.

The first session can be about learning.
Bring a trainer three questions: How should I set up? What resistance can I control? How can we adapt this to my body and experience?
Chair sit-to-stands, wall push-ups, and supported rows are examples to discuss—not a complete plan for everyone. If your medication can cause lows, make an activity plan with your diabetes team.
What makes starting feel hardest: time, confidence, or knowing what to do?

10/14/2026

The mirror is only one way to notice change.
In the HART-D trial, combining aerobic and resistance exercise improved A1c versus control; strength training alone did not show a statistically clear A1c improvement in that study. That’s why we keep the claims honest.
Notice your strength, your control, and your everyday function, too. What’s a recent win that had nothing to do with the scale?

10/12/2026

Your muscles have work to do beyond how your clothes fit. 💪
They help move glucose out of the bloodstream for use and storage. This is one reason strength belongs in a conversation about metabolic health.
You don’t need a bodybuilding goal to have a reason to get stronger. What everyday task would you like to feel easier?
Education only; movement does not replace prescribed insulin.

10/09/2026

Before accepting a supplement claim, ask what the participants actually did. A study that includes resistance training cannot automatically tell us what happens without it. Bring your goals, activity, medications, and health questions into the conversation. General education, with no product endorsement.

The scale gives you a total—not an explanation. An early change after starting creatine should not automatically be labeled fat gain or new muscle. A 2025 trial provides a useful lesson about interpreting lean-mass measurements. One result, one measurement, and one person’s experience each need context. General education.

10/05/2026

Before you buy the scoop, understand the job. Creatine is involved in the muscle’s quick-energy system, which helps explain its place in conversations about lifting and repeated hard efforts. Start with your goal, then ask whether a supplement fits. General education; individual decisions belong with your healthcare team.

A drink can affect glucose long after the evening ends.
Alcohol can interfere with the liver’s glucose backup system. Add less food and insulin or a sulfonylurea such as glipizide, and low-glucose risk becomes an important conversation.
GLP-1 therapy alone usually has a low hypoglycemia risk. Your full medication list matters. If you drink, avoid an empty stomach, monitor glucose, carry fast-acting glucose, and ask your team about overnight monitoring.
Save this or share it with someone who uses insulin. Education, not an individual insulin-adjustment plan.

09/23/2026

Less interest in alcohol on a GLP-1? Researchers are investigating.
A 2026 randomized trial in 108 adults with obesity and alcohol use disorder found fewer heavy-drinking days with semaglutide plus behavioral therapy than with placebo plus therapy. Stomach side effects were more common.
This is promising research, not a reason to self-treat alcohol use disorder or assume drinking is safe. If you drink heavily or have withdrawal symptoms, seek medical support before abruptly cutting back.
Save this for the science behind the headline. Friday: alcohol and low glucose.

09/22/2026

Can you drink alcohol while taking a GLP-1? Your symptoms and other medications matter.
Alcohol may compound stomach upset and dehydration. If you’re already vomiting, nauseated, or struggling to eat, skip alcohol and check in with your care team. Severe, persistent abdominal pain deserves urgent evaluation.
Save this for your next pharmacist conversation. Wednesday: why some people notice less interest in alcohol. Educational information; individual advice depends on your health history.

A lower number on the scale can be progress.
But it is not the only kind of progress.

Strength. Function. Glucose. How your body performs in real life.

Those matter too.

And next week we’re taking the muscle conversation into creatine, minus the locker-room mythology.

💚 Save this as a reminder to measure more than body weight.
📤 Share it with someone who needs to hear that smaller is not the only goal.
