Across Selma, faith communities continue to play an important role in supporting health and wellness. Through events at Summer Grove Missionary Baptist Church, West Village Church of the Nazarene, New Sister Spring Baptist Church, and Mount Zion Primitive Baptist Church, residents connected with resources, wellness information, and opportunities to take steps toward healthier living.

🎓✨ Congratulations to the graduating members of the Selma Community Leadership Academy's first cohort!

Over the course of the program, these participants demonstrated a strong commitment to leadership development, community engagement, and collaboration. As the first class to complete the academy in Selma, they have helped establish a foundation for future cohorts while strengthening connections that will benefit the community for years to come.

Our Dothan nursing students recently participated in a community health and wellness screening sponsored by Live HealthSmart Alabama! 🩺❤️

Students assisted with checking vital signs while connecting with community members and putting their nursing skills into practice.

We’re proud of our students for representing Jersey College and supporting health and wellness in the Dothan community!

Service in action! 🙌 During this year’s Into the Streets, UAB students, faculty, and staff came together for a day dedicated to community impact. Students visited several of our locations across Birmingham, Selma, and Demopolis, lending a helping hand and strengthening connections throughout our communities.
