Hey Alabama, did you know? Birmingham's Lakeshore Foundation provides free memberships to all honorably discharged U.S. veterans living in Alabama along with their household family members? Thanks to a grant from the State, the foundation is able to "serve those who have served” while helping to foster connection among Alabama veterans.
Lakeshore's veterans program has grown significantly in recent years, expanding access and awareness across the state. Yet, as Major General Lee Price noted, many people still don’t fully understand what Lakeshore offers for veterans.
“I really think Lakeshore is kind of a secret,” she said. “People don’t realize what’s available there.”
