Harder isn’t better. It’s just harder.
I still catch myself believing that if I’m not wrecked at the end of a workout, it didn’t count.
That rest has to be earned.
That taking it easy means I’m slipping.
Here’s what I actually know to be true: two or three days a week where you really go for it, and the rest of the week spent moving in ways that feel good - stretching, balance work, a walk - is more than enough.
Your body doesn’t need to be pushed to its limit every single day to change. It needs consistency and it needs recovery, and the recovery is doing just as much work as the hard days are.
I’m saying this to myself as much as to you.
You don’t have to go harder to be worth something. Not in exercise, not anywhere else.
