There are two Grails on the Quest: the Natural Grail and the Celestial Grail, just as there are Lots of Fortune (Moon) and Spirit (Sun).

In the earliest versions of the srories, the two tendencies work together, because there's no assumption that they won't. As they were elaborated and made into High Literature in the Arthurian Vulgate Cycle, the tendencies became associated with the forces that brought down Camelot.

Y'all may have noticed my longtime fascination with physics. Here, I stray into philosophy a bit. So, current theory holds (apparently soundly) that everything "physical" is the action of quantum fields.

Of course, I wanted to get a solid understanding of the field concept, remembering the debacle with the "ether" and the Michelson—Morley experiment.

Yeah. These fields are not physical. They're completely abstract.

In fact, they're literally metaphysical! I know how much working physicists love to avoid that, but sorry.

Basically, a quantum field is a mathematical object that embodies the relevant part of the Logos.

Way to go, O my accidentally Hermetic brethren!

I wonder who else has this phenomenon;

In the last few years, I have noticed that when I close my eyes, I see my breath as steam through my eyelids.. Usually, there is a lot of it. It doesn't happen every time, and I don't know what the pattern, if any, is.
