UAB Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship Program UAB-PEM Fellowship Program We are the only level 1 pediatric trauma center in the state of Alabama, and the only free standing children’s hospital.

The Pediatric Emergency Medicine (PEM) fellowship program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) has been in existence for over 30 years. Our fellows have an intensive didactic educational conference curriculum that includes simulation, research, journal club, EBM presentations, patient safety, radiology, quality improvement, interesting cases, and board review.
