Welcome to the American Pharmacy Purchasing Alliance (APPA), the leading association for independent pharmacy owners. The members of APPA consist of independent pharmacy owners, pharmacists, and student pharmacists.

PBMs should not get to quietly decide which local pharmacy a patient is allowed to use.

Martella’s Pharmacies has served southwestern Pennsylvania for more than 60 years. Now patients are being asked to speak up after Martella’s was pushed out of the Express Scripts network serving UPMC and Highmark managed care plans.

PUTT launched PAMyPharmacyMyChoice.org to give Pennsylvanians a direct way to contact lawmakers, submit concerns to DHS, and share how PBM network decisions affect real patients and real communities.

This is bigger than one pharmacy.

When PBMs cut out local pharmacies, patients lose access, communities lose trusted healthcare providers, and independent pharmacies are forced to fight systems they did not create.

Pennsylvanians deserve better.
