“Does it smell like bison?” 🤭

A fair question! Our bison tallow has a very mild natural scent—and if you’ve tried beef tallow before, you may notice a difference. 🦬

Before rendering, I spend a lot of time hand-cleaning the kidney suet, carefully removing the tendons, ligaments, and fibers. It’s a labor of love that helps keep the finished tallow’s scent mild. 💛

Our unscented blends have no added fragrance, while our seasonal blends include botanical essential oils.

The trees are still showing off their colors, the horses in the field are a breathtaking sight, and I’m soaking up every gorgeous minute.

And the bison? They carry on with prairie life—grazing, resting, and chewing their cud. Fall is also a time for growing thicker coats for the cold ahead… even when the afternoon feels like it missed the memo. 🦬
