I just had one of the most unexpected and ethereal healing experiences with my cat, Sopheria. 🐈⬛✨
I’ve been dealing with this cold and so much pressure in my throat and chest that I haven’t been able to take a truly deep breath for the past few days. Tonight I put on a binaural beats healing session, closed my eyes, and started rubbing my hands together to build my chi and begin doing Reiki on myself.
Almost immediately, Sopheria came over.
She put herself right in the middle of what I was doing, pushing her head between my hands. Then she went directly to my throat, touched the area with her nose, and positioned herself on my chest with both of her front paws just above my heart and below the base of my throat—exactly where I’ve been feeling all of this pressure.
Then she brought her mouth to mine, and I heard:
“Exchange energy. You have what I need to heal me, and I have what I need to heal you.”
And for the next 10 minutes, we just stayed there together.
I could physically feel something shifting and releasing. My breathing began opening up, and I could take deeper breaths than I’ve been able to take in days.
Toward the end, Sopheria began stretching her spine. Then she moved up my body, around my neck, and walked down over my shoulder. I immediately understood it as: we were done. I had released what I needed to release, and she had received what she needed from me.
And literally as she walked away, my earbuds started falling out.
Session complete. 😂✨
I don’t need to understand every part of what just happened to honor how powerful it felt.
Animals understand energy in ways we are only beginning to comprehend. Tonight, Sopheria didn’t just sit with me while I healed.
We healed together. 🐾💚✨
