"50 years ago I was in a terrible car accident. During the accident I hit the left side of my head, damaging my hearing beyond repair. For 50 years I have heard nothing on the left side. I was told I could get a cochlear implant but the side effect and ODDS were beyond scary to me so I just assumed all hope was lost. For Fifty years I have been telling people “speak into my good ear” I would go to luncheons and be left out of the conversations if the person telling the story sat to my left because I felt like I was annoying people when I asked them to “speak into my good ear”. Two months ago I met Rebecca at Miracle-Ear in Clarkston. She is my angel! Rebecca told me about a hearing aid called a Bi-Cross. I purchased a new rechargeable hearing aid for my right ear and a rechargeable BI-Cross for my left ear! I wasn’t very hopeful at first. Rebecca explained the bi-cross would transmit everything from my left side to my right ear so I could still hear things even if they were said on my left. I picked up my new aids before our weekly luncheon. I was in complete shock I literally cried at the table. I didn’t have to say “speak into my good Ear”, because now both my ears are good! I can sit in any position at the table and I can be a part of the conversation now. I want to thank Rebecca because I feel like I am a new person. I feel like I am more independent now!"
