Some of you know I've been working on something outside the office.

After several years of writing — and a lifetime of ideas — my third book has been released. It's called The Blood of Angels and I'm enormously proud of it.

Those of you who read A Perfect Armenian — my historical fiction set during the Armenian Genocide of 1915 — know that I don't take storytelling lightly. That book came from a very personal place and I'm as proud of it today as the day it was published. This new novel comes from a completely different place — but with the same commitment to the story.

The Blood of Angels is dark, cinematic science fiction set in a future that feels closer than we think. It follows a physician in late 21st century Snowmass, Colorado whose world is violently upended when genetically engineered tigers descend from a secret mountain laboratory. What begins as a crisis of survival becomes something far larger — a journey across continents, into ancient bloodlines, and toward a version of himself he never anticipated.

It's Funday Functional Friday! I usually keep this day light however we have been speaking about those PESTS ~ TICKS all week so I will add a little humor however I will continue to give you information that is important.

Six diseases and illnesses you can encounter are as follows:
Lyme Disease, Anaplasmosis, Babesiosis, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, Ehrlichiosis and Alpha-Gal Syndrome.

If you are bitten by a TICK, look for these symptoms: A Bull's Eye Rash, Muscle and/or Joint Aches, Fever, Chills, Hemolytic Anemia, Allergic Reaction to Red Meat, Headaches, and Fatigue.
