A patient came to our clinic after a fish bone became lodged in the upper palate of their mouth. Fortunately, our provider was able to carefully remove the bone completely and in one piece, providing immediate relief!

Fish is an excellent source of lean protein and healthy omega 3 fatty acids, but it's always a good reminder to eat carefully and watch out for those hidden bones.

🚨 Cyclospora Cases Are Increasing in Michigan 🚨

We are currently seeing multiple patients every day with symptoms consistent with Cyclospora infection (cyclosporiasis).

The most common symptoms include:�• 💧 Frequent watery diarrhea�• 🤢 Nausea and vomiting�• 😖 Stomach cramps and bloating�• 🌡️ Fatigue and weakness�• 🍽️ Loss of appetite�• ⚖️ Weight loss�• 🤕 Low-grade fever (less common)

Symptoms can last for days to weeks without treatment and may come and go.

At Emcura Medical, we are:�✅ Evaluating patients with gastrointestinal symptoms�✅ Providing stool collection kits for testing�✅ Prescribing appropriate treatment when indicated

The Michigan Department of Health is encouraging testing to help accurately track the current outbreak and better understand its spread.
