Our Story
Spread The Purple is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization who is devoted to making a difference in the community. It is our mission to provide guidance to both individuals and families for the right resources and assistance they can use during unexpected circumstance. One of the ways we assist is through our fundraisers, such our 5K Charity Race.
The organization each year is host our an Annual 5K Run For Warmth Charity Race. The purpose of the race is to raise funds to better assist New Jersey's Homeowners, who struggle to pay for oil, stay warm during the winter months.
"Run/Walk For Warmth" was developed to better support and improve medium income homeowners, who struggle to pay for oil, stay warm during the winter months. This program was created to combat the raising heating oil prices hitting a record level high this year, even as natural gas prices plunge. Eligibility requirements have tightened too, and with oil prices climbing. Unfortunately, the need is increasing, but the funding is no longer available for the medium income homeowners.
Spread The Purple would be honored to gain support from any runners, walkers and running groups for this race. So, come on out and "Run/Walk For Warmth," while giving back to the community!
