This Memorial Day, We Remember and Honor.
Today we pause in deep gratitude and quiet reflection.
Not just to remember — but to truly feel the unimaginable cost of freedom.
We honor the brave men and women of our Armed Forces who answered the call, who stood in the breach, and who paid the ultimate price so that the rest of us could live in safety and liberty. They ran toward the fight. They laid down their lives for a nation they loved more than their own tomorrow.
They left behind mothers and fathers who still ache with every sunrise. Spouses who sleep alone with memories that both comfort and wound. Children who only know their parent through stories, photos, and folded flags. Brothers and sisters who carry an empty chair at every family gathering.
To every soldier, sailor, airman, Marine, and guardian who made the ultimate sacrifice — thank you. Your courage echoes through generations. Your sacrifice is the foundation upon which our freedoms stand.
Here at Pelham, we carry that same spirit of service in our calling as a training institution. Your legacy inspires every EMT and future first responder we train — reminding us what true selflessness looks like as they prepare to answer the call themselves.
To the Gold Star families who bear the heaviest burden: we see you. We honor your loved ones by the way we train, serve, and prepare the next generation. Your heroes are not forgotten. They are remembered with every student who graduates, every life they will one day save, and every act of compassion they extend.
May we never grow numb to the price they paid. May we live lives worthy of their sacrifice.
John 15:13 — Greater love hath no one than this: to lay down one’s life for their friends.
Rest easy, warriors. You’ve earned your peace. We’ve got the watch from here.
