Studying for my SCS and just learned how to tape an ankle LAST WEEK from the great ATC Nick, who I’m currently shadowing… so naturally, we had to put my new skills to the test 😂🏃‍♂️💨
PT vs. ATC: Who can tape an ankle faster? 🦶🏽⏱️

Let the battle begin. May the fastest hands win. 😤🔥

TMJ assessment + manual therapy 🦷✨

We start by observing jaw opening to identify any deviation or asymmetry, then use heat + vibration to prep the tissues. From there, we assess and treat areas of increased tone in the masseter, temporalis, and deeper intraoral muscles using soft tissue techniques paired with active jaw movement.

Then we reassess to see if movement, ROM, or comfort changed. 👏🏼

Assess → Treat → Reassess. 🧠

A quick surface anatomy tour of the proximal tibia, fibula, and knee joint line—highlighting the tibial tubercle, pes anserine, Gerdy’s tubercle, fibular head, and medial & lateral joint lines, along with the key structures that attach at each landmark.

📍 Tibial tubercle → patellar ligament
📍 Pes anserine → sartorius, gracilis & semitendinosus
📍 Gerdy’s tubercle → iliotibial band
📍 Fibular head → biceps femoris & LCL attachments
📍 Medial joint line → medial meniscus / MCL region
📍 Lateral joint line → lateral meniscus / LCL region

Surface anatomy made practical 👇
Can you palpate and identify them all?

As a sports physical therapist, staying active is a huge part of my life—running, strength training, treating patients, and constantly being on the go. That means recovery has to keep up with me, too. 🏃‍♀️💪
Enter Kineon MOVE+ ❤️

MOVE+ uses red and near-infrared light therapy, which can be a great addition to a recovery routine. Red light therapy is beneficial for supporting muscle recovery, reducing the feeling of soreness, promoting circulation, and helping the body recover after activity.

What I love most? It fits into real life. I can use MOVE+ hands-free, wirelessly, and portably while I’m doing documentation, stretching, or getting other things done.

Because recovery isn’t separate from training—it’s part of it.

If you’re serious about staying active and keeping your body moving, Kineon MOVE+ is a recovery tool worth adding to your routine.

❤️ Want to try MOVE+ for yourself? There’s a link in our bio for $$ off!

Train hard. Recover smart. Keep moving.

Ankle sprain + swelling + bruising? 👣
Lymphatic taping can be a helpful addition to your recovery by encouraging fluid movement, helping reduce swelling, and supporting the body’s natural healing process. As the swelling improves, it can also help bruising resolve over time.
Remember: tape isn’t a standalone treatment. The best results come from combining it with the right rehab, movement, compression (when appropriate), and a gradual return to activity.

Achilles pain slowing you down? 🦶

KT tape can provide extra support, improve proprioception, and help reduce discomfort while you’re staying active—but it’s not a standalone treatment.

✅ Great for:

* Achilles tendinopathy
* Mild Achilles irritation
* Returning to activity
* Extra support during workouts

⚠️ Tape should always be paired with:
• Progressive calf strengthening
• Eccentric heel raises
• Ankle mobility
• Gradual return to running or sport

Save this for the next time your Achilles starts acting up, and send it to someone who’s always complaining about heel pain!
