Sometimes I get asked why I don't list ingredients on my soap. Here are the main two reasons.

1. It limits my creativity. Sometimes I like to add a few extra things on a whim. Some examples are aloe vera, honey, cocoa butter, or avocado oil.

2. Labels are expensive and ordering or printing new
ones anytime I do something a little different would be very cost prohibitive. This, in turn, would make me have to charge more to my customers.

That being said, the ingredients I use most often are: goat milk, certified sustainable (This certification is important to me. It is more expensive, but means that the oils I buy are not contributing to the deforestation of the rainforest.) palm oil, coconut oil, lye, lard, castor oil, olive oil, water, mica (colorant), and fragrance oil or essential oil.

So, long story short I'm not trying to be sneaky or hide anything. I'm simply trying to keep the cost for my customers low while still allowing myself creative freedom.

PS It is not a legal requirement to list ingredients on soap. ;)
