IU Health is proud announce that the new IU Health Owen County Women, Infants and Children (WIC) office will open on Friday, Sept. 11.

Located at 189 S Main St in Spencer, Owen County WIC will operate from 8:30 am – 4 pm on Fridays.

WIC is a nutrition program that helps pregnant women, new mothers, infants and children eat well and stay healthy.

You may be eligible if you are pregnant, a new mother (up to 6 months after delivery), breastfeeding (up to one year after delivery), or have a child under the age of 5.

Our South Region team is offering blood pressure screenings at Razor’s Image in Bloomington today, from 1-3pm.

High blood pressure usually has no warning signs or symptoms, and increases your risk of heart attack or stroke.

IU Health Outreach will be back in the pantry with free services on 8/18! While they're here each month, Aug. will bring expanded services again. Get care while you shop!

Our Community Health team in the south region will be tabling from 11am-5pm. We are offering free blood pressure screenings for adults and swag items for all ages. Come and see us!

We are looking forward to a big day on August 1st with our Back to School Health Fair and the Taste of Bloomington happening!

Though this is a Back to School themed health fair, it is open to the community and we believe we will have great diversity of visitors. So far vendors we have include food vendors, massage therapists, mental health groups/counselors, schools, the fire department, a dance studio, fitness clubs, several health and wellness groups and are looking for many more!

We hope you all plan to attend and if you'd like to be a vendor there, but haven't signed up yet, please reach out to Melissa at [email protected] or Alex at [email protected] to get the sign up info and link. Schools and non-profits can register for free and everyone else is still getting the early bird pricing!!

Each month, from 12 to 2 pm on the third Tuesday, IU Health Outreach workers join us at the Hub, offering a variety of tests freely to the community, This month, services are expanded to include several vaccines and additional testing. All free! Meet with their supportive team while shopping the pantry.
