Meet Hailey Keen, a hardworking and compassionate CNA at Indian Creek.

Hailey has a true passion for caring for others and takes pride in supporting residents in their daily activities. She especially enjoys spending time with them—listening to their stories, sharing moments of connection, and watching friendships grow among residents.

Her inspiration to become a CNA comes from a deep desire to help care for those who cannot care for themselves. That dedication shines through in everything she does.

When asked about Indian Creek, Hailey shared that it’s not just the staff, but the residents too, who uplift and encourage one another, creating a true sense of family.

We are so lucky to have Hailey on our team. Thank you for the kindness, compassion, and heart you bring each day!

Sonja became a CNA because of her heart for helping others, especially those who are most vulnerable.

Her favorite part of the job? Providing comfort, being a listening ear, and seeing the smiles she helps create each day. One of her most meaningful moments was praying with a resident who was having a difficult day—bringing peace, comfort, and a reminder of the power of compassion.

Sonja loves working at Harrison Healthcare because of the strong sense of community—where everyone supports and celebrates each other. Thank you, Sonja, for the care and kindness you bring to our residents every day!

Meet Sally Koons, RN at Indian Creek Healthcare Center! 🩺

Some nurses choose this calling. Others are shaped by it through love, loss, and purpose. Sally is one of those nurses and her journey began long before she earned her nursing degree. When she was young, she lost her father after a devastating fall. In one of the hardest moments of her life, it was the nurses who stood beside her family offering comfort, compassion, and care when it mattered most. Their kindness left an imprint on Sally’s heart and became the reason she knew she wanted to become a nurse to care for others the way they cared for her father.

Sally joined Indian Creek while she was still in high school, and this building quickly became more than a workplace — it became home. Through every stage of her education, the Indian Creek community stood beside her, supporting her schedule, believing in her dreams, and helping her grow into the outstanding nurse she is today. Sally stated, “What I love about Indian Creek is that we take care of each other. The people here become family, both patients and staff.” That feeling of family became especially real during one of the most personal chapters of her life. When Sally’s mother became ill and needed memory care, there was no question where she belonged.

At Indian Creek Healthcare Center, Sally isn’t just a nurse. She is a daughter, a caregiver, and a family member caring for families just like her own. Her story is a powerful reminder of why nursing matters and how compassion carries forward from one life to many others. During the recent Nurses Week and always, we are so grateful to Sally for her heart, her dedication, and the love she brings to every patient, every coworker, and every family she touches. Thank you, Sally. 💙
