Today we celebrate Autistic Pride Day! 🎊 A day to honor identity, celebrate strengths, promotes neurodiversity, and recognize the unique perspectives autistic individuals bring to our communities. 💙 We are PROUD to support our and all individuals — by creating space where everyone feels understood, valued, and included!

This year’s theme, “Autism Is Trending” expands the conversation beyond a single day — encouraging year-round advocacy, systems change, and the advancement of tools that support inclusion and opportunity for the autistic community. It was a perfect day for a picnic! 🧺🌞 Our Supported Independent Living program all came together for a fun-filled afternoon of food, games, ice cream, and connection. Moments like these remind us what connection and community are all about.

While it’s called “independent living,” our program is built on support. Individuals have the freedom of their own home while receiving personalized support tailored to their goals, helping them stay safe, connected, and confident in their everyday lives. Because independence doesn’t mean doing it alone 💛

We were so excited to welcome House Veterans Affairs & Emergency Preparedness Committee Co-Chairs: Rep. Jared Solomon and PA State Rep. Mark Gillen to our Pottstown SMART Home yesterday!

During the tour, we showcased how assistive technology is making a REAL difference in the lives of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities across our residential programs. We also had a great conversation about the state budget outlook, ways to better support veterans with disabilities, and how this innovative SMART Home came to life.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to connect and look forward to continuing to serve as a resource for our new partners in Harrisburg!

For decades, KenCrest and one of our community partners, Lenape Valley Foundation, have worked side by side to support families of infants and toddlers all across Bucks County through our Early Intervention Program.
