One of our Lifesharing pairs enjoyed a trip to the pumpkin patch, where they got to take a hayride and a walk through the corn maze! Moments like these are what Lifesharing is all about: sharing everyday experiences and helping individuals enjoy life as part of a family and community. Kindness means treating people with respect, including them, and seeing them for who they are. Our individuals don't need to be treated like they're fragile or incapable. They deserve to be treated as equals, with the same dignity, opportunities, and respect as everyone else. Sometimes, the kindest thing we can do is offer support when it's needed while still allowing someone the freedom to make choices, try new things, and be themselves. At Delta, we believe everyone deserves to feel valued and included. A little kindness can go a long way, so here's your reminder to be extra kind today! 🧩💚

Understanding behavior starts with understanding the person. Every individual has their own needs, triggers, and ways of communicating, and sometimes those signs can be easy to miss if you're not paying close attention. Consistent, attentive care helps our DSPs recognize changes in behavior, understand what an individual may be trying to communicate, and respond in a way that best supports them. At Delta, we believe taking the time to truly know the individuals in our care makes all the difference. When we understand the person behind the behavior, we're better equipped to provide the support they need. 🧩💚

For individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and autism, having a consistent daily routine can provide a sense of stability and confidence. Knowing what to expect throughout the day can help individuals feel more comfortable, while having activities and goals to work toward gives them opportunities to learn, grow, and build independence.

Whether it's participating in the Day Program, practicing life skills, getting out into the community, or spending time with friends, every part of the day can have meaning and purpose. Something spooky is happening at Delta! We’re getting ready for our Halloween Costume Party at the Langhorne Day Program, and we already know it’s going to be a day full of costumes, games, fall-themed fun, and plenty of laughs! 💚

Getting out into the community is such an important part of what we do at Delta. We want our individuals to have the opportunity to experience new places and simply enjoy everything their community has to offer.🧩

Community involvement is about so much more than just getting out of the house. It’s about being included, gaining independence, and having the same opportunities to enjoy life as everyone else. Whether we’re grabbing a sweet treat, visiting a local farm, going shopping, or just enjoying a beautiful day outside, every outing is an opportunity to be part of the community. 💚
