Heartwood Retreat Center

Are you a photographer and a yogi?

I’m looking for a photographer to come on my meditation retreat September 23 through September 27.

Your spot would be completely free. I’ll handle your lodging, all your meals, classes bonuses…all of it.

I really want someone who’s interested in meditation and Yoga already because you would not be just standing off the side. You would be engaging in the retreat as well as taking pictures.

I know it’s super short notice. Please send me a DM if you’re interested.

This weekend is for EVERYONE. 🤍

You don’t need to be a yoga teacher.
You don’t need to want to become one.
And you definitely don’t need to be “good at yoga.”

This is a weekend to experience Yin deeply and learn how to make it a practice you can actually use in your own life.

We’ll slow down, explore the poses, learn how to work with your individual body, use props and modifications, and discover how to create a Yin practice at home that feels nourishing, empowering and uniquely yours.

🌿 YIN YOGA IMMERSION
December 11–13 | Heartwood Retreat Center
Friday 3 PM – Sunday 5 PM
$575 including 2 nights accommodations

FOR YOGA TEACHERS + THOSE WHO WANT TO TEACH YIN

Continue beyond the weekend with three 2½-hour online sessions where we shift from experiencing Yin to learning how to confidently guide others.

✨ January 4, 11 & 18
✨ 6:00–8:30 PM
✨ Teaching methodology & sequencing
✨ Functional anatomy & modifications
✨ Holding space & finding your teaching voice
✨ 30 total CEU hours for yoga teachers

Full 30-Hour Yin Yoga Teacher Training: $795
Includes the entire residential weekend + all 3 online sessions.

Two paths. One beautiful weekend.

Come because you love Yin.
Come because you’re curious.
Come because you want a practice you can take home.

And if you want to teach it, stay on for the full journey. 🤍

✨ Seeking Heartwood’s Next Steward ✨

Not all properties come with a community.

After many beautiful years of retreats, healing, connection, and community in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Heartwood Retreat Center is seeking its next steward.

As part of owner Ken Banwart’s estate planning, we are opening the door to a rare opportunity: an established retreat center, thriving business, and beloved gathering place all in one.

Since 2019, Heartwood has welcomed facilitators and guests from around the country, becoming a home for transformation, learning, friendship, and renewal.

One of the unique aspects of this opportunity is that longtime Managing Director Christina Law, along with her experienced local team, will continue overseeing retreat operations, guest experience, hospitality, and wellness services. Retreats will continue as usual, and our intention is to preserve the heart and spirit of what has been lovingly built here.

If someone comes to mind who may resonate with this opportunity, we would be grateful if you would share this post.

To allow continued smooth operations, serious inquires only

Dreams speak in a language of metaphor and symbol. They are multidimensional, incredibly clever, and far more expressive than a simple sentence. Working with dreams in a group creates a powerful field for expanded insight and deep energetic opening. When an "aha" lands it is felt by the entire group. Join me this summer at Heartwood Retreat Center when we dream together in a deeply relaxing retreat setting. Details at TammyRoth.com
