This is a weekend to experience Yin deeply and learn how to make it a practice you can actually use in your own life.

We’ll slow down, explore the poses, learn how to work with your individual body, use props and modifications, and discover how to create a Yin practice at home that feels nourishing, empowering and uniquely yours.

Continue beyond the weekend with three 2½-hour online sessions where we shift from experiencing Yin to learning how to confidently guide others.

✨ Seeking Heartwood’s Next Steward ✨

Not all properties come with a community.

After many beautiful years of retreats, healing, connection, and community in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Heartwood Retreat Center is seeking its next steward.

As part of owner Ken Banwart’s estate planning, we are opening the door to a rare opportunity: an established retreat center, thriving business, and beloved gathering place all in one.

Since 2019, Heartwood has welcomed facilitators and guests from around the country, becoming a home for transformation, learning, friendship, and renewal.

One of the unique aspects of this opportunity is that longtime Managing Director Christina Law, along with her experienced local team, will continue overseeing retreat operations, guest experience, hospitality, and wellness services. Retreats will continue as usual, and our intention is to preserve the heart and spirit of what has been lovingly built here.
