Healing At The Root Wound Care
🩹 Wound Care Tip of the Day 🩹
A few important things to remember:
-Repositioning is the most important step in preventing and healing pressure injuries.
-Hydration and protein are essential for wound healing. A poor diet can slow recovery.
-Avoid squeezing abscesses or ingrown hairs, it can push infection deeper into the tissue.
-Skip hydrogen peroxide and harsh soaps on open wounds. They can damage healthy tissue and delay healing.
- If you notice a pressure blister, don't pop it! An intact blister helps protect the skin underneath.
Small changes can make a big difference in healing and preventing complications.
