A very underutilized leg exercise... LUNGES!🦵

On quad-dominant leg days I love placing lunges at the end of my weight training to burn out my quads. The reason being is after hitting the heavy weights earlier in the workout you don’t need an immense amount of weight to perform lunges and really tax them. Throughout the entire exercise it’s important to keep your back at as completely straight and upright as to not place unwanted tension on your lower back. Also creating a 90° angle with your leading leg to recruit as much of your quads as possible. These are also an awesome exercise to perform if you’re not able to perform back squats due to lower back issues, or too much pressure being put on your knees.
