Honesty is a hard pill to swallow. But it’s the medicine we sometimes need. Today I’m owning the truth of something I’ve been feeling but also ignoring. It’s not my weight exactly but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t. Over the last year I have committed myself so much to what I love (sharing yoga and holding space for others) that I’ve ignored my own health - kinda sorta. It’s complicated. In some respects I couldn’t be happier and my weight doesn’t bother me like years ago when I was 💯 fixated on it. I’m almost too comfortable in my own skin 🤣 and I love that for me. I credit Yoga for that healthy perspective. It truly is a gift. In emotional ways I am taking really good care of my body, mind & spirit. BUT it’s a double edged sword. As my weight has up ticked so has my health. I’m struggling with energy and desire to move my body the way I like to but most importantly I just haven’t felt like myself. Not mentally (thankfully) but physically. My blood pressure is higher and I feel short of breath when I do exercise. I’m at a point where I need to take care of myself again so that I can continue to do what I love for years to come. But I’m definitely not going to beat myself up as I find myself here… instead I’m going to FULLY love and accept myself exactly as I am each day that I wake up. How could I not?
When you’re at a fork in the road sometimes you need to swallow a little honesty pill to clearly see the road that your soul is whispering for you to take ❤️
