The Rock Steady Boxing Solution

Various studies in the 1980s and 1990s supported the notion that rigorous exercise, emphasizing gross motor movement, balance, core strength, and rhythm, could favorably impact range of motion, flexibility, posture, gait, and activities of daily living.

More recent studies, most notably at Cleveland Clinic, focus on the concept of intense “forced” exercise, and have begun to suggest that certain kinds of exercise may be neuro-protective, i.e., actually slowing disease progression. Our clients attest, and academic institutions, such as University of Indianapolis and Butler University, are reporting and documenting the improved quality of life among our boxers.

Discovery of a cure may be many years away but in the last sixteen years, there has been evidence that progress is made in all stages of the disease by those participating in the RSB program.

This is also our main fundraiser to the year for Rock Steady Boxing Boardman.

Lost count of the basket raffle baskets, it's a lot. More than 30 maybe.

We will have several items up for silent auction including a large griddle from Home Depot and a very nice fire ring and smore basket combo and the ever popular 52 gift cards for 1 free Chick-fil-A sandwich a week for one year and more.

Chick-fil-A truck will be there to satisfy that hunger after the walk.

So come walk with us, enjoy the visit, ask us questions and learn a little about this challenging disease and maybe win a basket or two.

Please share this post with your friends, we are always trying to reach anyone diagnosed with a movement disorder so they can learn the benefits of our program.
