Well hello Solar Eclipse happening in the sign of Leo!

Today, at around 1:36 p.m., the Sun will be eclipsed by the Moon as she passes between the Earth and the Sun. Our view of the Sun is being blocked by the Moon's shadow. Astrologically speaking this particular Eclipse can be interpretated as a supercharged New Moon.

I know you're wondering if we will be able to see this Eclipse. This Eclipse's visibility and path of totality crosses Greenland, Iceland, Northern Spain (premier viewing destinations), a small corner or Portugal and remote region of northern Russia. We will not be able to visibly see the Eclipse here in Florida because the Eclipse path is too far north.

Eclipses mark beginnings, endings, revelations, course corrections and accelerated change.

A Solar Eclipse is a New Moon Eclipse. During a New Moon the Moon and Sun occupy the same area of the zodiac (this is called a conjunction) and the Moon is invisible from Earth's perspective. Astrologically, this is associated with beginnings, fresh starts, setting intentions, inner reflection and planting seeds for future growth. Think of a seed underground. You can't see anything happening yet, but the process of growth has begun.

What makes this New Moon Eclipse a bit different is that it is very close to the south node of the Moon. Traditionally interpreted, south node themes are: the past, old habits and patterns, things that have run their course, release, completion, letting go. When a Solar Eclipse occurs near the south node, astrologers often view it as emphasizing a clearing away of old circumstances, releasing attachments, completing a chapter, exposing what needs to be surrendered, creating space before a new cycle begins.

In the sign of Leo, this could involve releasing things like recognition or validation, old identities and roles, pride that prevents growth, leadership dynamics that have become outdated. So this Eclipse wants something to be released so something can begin. Whenever the nodes of the Moon are involved events that happen in our lives are fated or inevitable. It is less like pushing forward and more like realizing something has already been ending for a while.

For each of us this will be happening in a different part or theme in our lives and the only way to know where in our lives this will affect us is to look at your birth chart and see where it is happening. But Eclipses are powerful and you will most probably feel its energy the same way we feel the weather.

So here's to another Eclipse Season (eclipses come in pairs and in 2 weeks we will have a Lunar Eclipse) that promotes change and new directions. How else would we grow and evolve in this lifetime!?

Cheers!!!

At 4:24 a.m., EST, the Sun entered the sign of Cancer marking a powerful seasonal gateway. Symbolically, it is the longest day and shortest night of the year (in the Northern Hemisphere) where the Sun reaches its maximum strength and visibility.

Astrologically, this can symbolize illumination, full expression, culmination, awareness and the flowering of what was planted earlier in the year.

When the Sun enters Cancer, there is a shift from outer to inner growth from Gemini, an air sign, to Cancer a water sign concerned with home, family, emotional security, nurturing. Even though the Sun is at its brightest, the focus is more internal, personal and emotional.

Cancer is ruled by the Moon so even though this is a solar event, the flavor is more lunar. It is a feeling of belonging, feeling safe, being nurtured. You might find yourself thinking about what is working and what is not, what needs more care, what you want to let go of. I am going to share with you a very personal example of what the solstice represents for me simply because it is a prime example of the symbolism of the power of the solstices.

Last year around the Winter Solstice I entered one of the most difficult periods of my life medically. Now 6 months later I am at the Summer Solstice having completed final tests, I am back working, and am able to do more than I could months ago. Six months ago I couldn't even walk. Astrologically, I went from survival to recovery, crisis to healing, darkness to light and my direction of travel has changed. Solstices teach us that life moves in cycles, not in straight lines.

My personal journey through a health crisis has me honoring how far I've come even if not at my health peak yet. Solstices give us a chance to pause and notice the larger cycles we're living through and that change is happening even when it's not obvious. Last Winter my focus was getting through each day, each procedure, each test. And now, realizing the blessings of the solstice symbolism I think more about yoga, kayaking, biking, future transits, waiting on positive CT scan results. These represent a shift from crisis mode to living my life again.

As the Sun enters Cancer, think about the distance you've traveled and the progress you've achieved since the Winter and Spring solstices. You may feel compelled to set an intention for yourself. My own intention may look like: May my strength continue to return. May my body continue to heal. May I be patient with the pace of recovery.

On this longest day of the year embrace the warmth and energy that is being offered. There is abundance in Summer. The Earth speaks of bees and flowers, birth and growth. The light of the Sun will guide you and empower you to move toward new goals and soul nurturing journeys on all the days ahead.

Blessings to you on this beautiful Summer Solstice my friends....

Have you ever wondered why you are not experiencing what you've heard or read in your horoscope. For example, why you didn't seem to feel the rewards or elation from the recent conjunction of Jupiter and Venus? The explanation is simple.

The ancients called the planets "wandering stars." The Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, the traditional planets, and Uranus, Neptune and Pluto, the outer planets, are in constant motion, every single day. The planets are always moving around up above us at their own speeds. The outer planets move slower, planets closer to the Sun move more quickly.

When a transiting planet (moving planet) meets up with another transiting planet or natal planet, this is called an aspect. Aspects can be categorized as conjunctions (blending or mixing with), squares (challenging), oppositions (opposing tensions) sextiles (gentle, helpful influence), or trines (supportive energy.)

Now, here is the important part: When a transiting planet aspects another transiting planet think "weather." This is felt as background influences affecting everyone to some degree and can be felt like we all feel the weather. Depending on the planets, everyone may feel a certain "feel" in the air. For example if you hear that Mars is squaring Saturn, everyone may feel a certain frustration, delay, irritation or blockage in every day life.

BUT, when a transiting planet meets up with a planet in your birth chart, this is what is happening to you individually and the impact is much much stronger. A thunderstorm forecast matters much more if the storm is passing directly over your home!!! These aspects are much more significant because they involve natal chart points. These aspects are more personal to you as opposed to the general weather!

Transit to transit aspects will tell you the overall tone of the day or week but the strongest predictive work will matter most when these transits are compared to your birth chart as in transits to natal planets, transits to natal angles (the ascendant, descendant, midheaven, and IC), outer planet transits to natal planets and repeated activation of the same natal point by several transiting planets at once.

For example, Uranus moving through my 6th house will eventually aspect my natal Sun, Venus, Mercury and Saturn by opposition in the 12th house. This will generally be much more note-worthy than a brief Mars/Saturn square occurring only between two transiting planets which I might not even feel directly.

Your natal chart is your anchor. The transits moving around up there in the sky are constantly forming aspects with each other but most of them pass by like the changing weather! What will usually get our attention and mean something personal to you is when those planets "plug in" to a natal planet, angle or house.

One of the most meaningful planets to track is the Moon. Tracking the Moon will guide you through your day to day emotional tone and timing of events as she travels through the zodiac changing signs every 2 to 2 1/2 days. Since she moves quickly she can reflect shifts in mood, focus and emotional needs.

The Moon also has phases. For example as the moon is waxing (new moon to full moon) that is the time for building, starting and growing something. When she is waning (full moon to new moon) you may find you are finishing, releasing or decluttering things. And when the moon passes over your natal planets, you may become more aware of those parts of yourself. It is also a very valuable piece of information to know what moon phase you were born in.

Our astrological birth chart is very specific to each of us. The chart is a symbol that shows how we interact with patterns and possibilities of our human experience. It represents who we are and who we will become. The chart literally shows the sky above at the moment we take our first breath which is why the birth chart is highly personalized and the planets moving around the sky aspecting our birth charts can tell us so much about what is happening and what may be coming our way.

As I write this today the Moon is in Leo. So the overall "astrological weather" is dramatic with a loyal emotional, playful, performative nature. Today the weather will be playful and childlike with an emotionally cheerful tone. You may notice an enhance need to feel respected and cherished, jubilant and engaged in creative pursuit. This is a great day to honor the psychological need to set free your own inner child!

Tomorrow, May 31st, at approximately 4:43 am EST, the Moon will light up the sky as she sits full and proud in the sign of fun-loving, truth-seeking Sagittarius. This is a particularly special full moon because she is a Blue moon- you've heard the expression "once in a blue moon"- meaning there are rare 2 full moons within the same month. Usually there is one full moon and one new moon in every month.

What makes this such a special full moon is its conjunction with the Royal Star, Antares, the watcher of the west. (I will follow this post with a series on the Royal Stars.)

Antares is red and massive and shines in the constellation Scorpius (more on that in the series.) Because of its size it can be seen by the naked eye. Antares is often described as intense and obsession. He is considered relatable to Mars/Jupiter because he is all about courage, fearlessness, passion, ambition, competition, and leadership particularly in times of crisis. When activated, Antares can bring "great success if integrity is maintained; downfall if consumed by obsession."

Activated by this full moon, the emotional life becomes intense and passionate. This means your courage will come from a deep emotional place, you may experience sharp instinctual levels, intensified empathy and emotional resilience. However, the shadow side of this conjunction might rear its head as emotional extremes, difficulty in letting go of things that just don't serve you and attraction to relationships that are intense.

The conjunction of Antares and the Moon often brings gifts related to psychological insight and comprehension of hidden motivations.

Traditionally, full moons indicate culmination, revelation and release. Being a Blue moon, there is an amplification of these themes bringing issues to a peak that may have been building for a while. Passing through the sign of Sagittarius there is focus on truth, adventure, faith and fun!

Look up at this beautiful Moon tomorrow, look for Antares, release what no longer brings you joy, be grateful for all that you have, and Enjoy!!!!

As Venus moves into Gemini on the 24th of April 2026, the atmosphere lightens and becomes more curious, expressive, and mentally engaging. After its recent conjunction with Uranus in Ta**us, there is already a sense of freshness and release around relationships, values, and creative expression, as though something has shifted or opened. In Gemini, Venus seeks connection through conversation, shared ideas, and a sense of play, bringing a desire to explore rather than settle too quickly. The sextile to Saturn offers a steadying influence beneath this lightness, helping to give form and reliability to what might otherwise feel fleeting, while the applying trine to Pluto hints at a deepening process unfolding quietly in the background.

The challenge here lies in distraction or inconsistency. With so much mental stimulation, it can be easy to skim the surface of things without fully engaging, or to change direction before something has had the chance to develop. There may also be a tendency to overthink emotions, analysing rather than feeling, which can create a sense of distance in close connections. While the recent shift from Uranus brings excitement, it may also leave things feeling unsettled or undefined, and this can lead to uncertainty about where to invest time and energy. Balancing lightness with presence is key.

At its best, this is a transit that invites connection with both openness and intention. It encourages you to follow curiosity, to speak, share, and explore, while also recognising what holds genuine value over time. The support from Saturn reminds you that even the most effortless connections can be strengthened through consistency, while the approaching influence of Pluto suggests that something meaningful can grow from what begins as a simple exchange. There is an opportunity here to engage with life in a way that feels both light and deeply alive — to allow conversations, ideas, and connections to evolve into something richer than expected. Trust what draws your interest, follow what feels mentally and emotionally engaging, and allow it to lead you somewhere more profound than you first imagined.

Mars conjunct Neptune in Aries, perfecting on the 13th of April 2026, brings together instinct and imagination in a way that feels immediate, bold, and quietly compelling. There is a strong pull to act on what feels meaningful, to follow a vision or inner knowing even if it cannot yet be fully explained. This is a more fiery expression of what is usually subtle, where inspiration seeks movement and ideas want form. With Saturn close behind, what begins as a feeling or impulse is likely to carry weight, asking to be taken seriously and shaped into something real. The square to Jupiter in Cancer adds a layer of tension between independence and emotional security, while subtle links to Uranus and Pluto suggest deeper shifts unfolding beneath the surface.

The challenge lies in moving too quickly on something that has not yet fully settled. There can be a tendency to act on instinct without pausing to sense whether the timing or direction is right, or to become swept up in a feeling that later proves unclear. Emotional responses may run high, particularly when trying to balance personal desires with the expectations or needs of others. At times, this can create a push and pull between confidence and hesitation, where momentum builds and then falters. Without a steady sense of grounding, it is easy to lose clarity or feel frustrated when things do not unfold as imagined.

At its best, this energy invites you to become a kind of visionary in motion — someone who is not only guided by instinct, but willing to shape that instinct into something meaningful. There is real strength in allowing inspiration to lead, while also giving it form through patience and intention. Even small steps taken with clarity can carry this energy far. Trust what stirs within you, but honour it enough to build it slowly and with care. When you meet this moment with both courage and presence, it becomes an opportunity to turn a fleeting vision into something lasting, something that feels not only inspired, but truly lived.
