I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Hypnotherapist also trained in EFT Tapping and EMDR.
I wanted to have a page that could provide hope and joy as well as good mental health information. My private practice office is in Boca Raton but I am 100% virtual at this time. I accept most insurances but will negotiate a fee for service for those without insurance. I mostly use Cognitive-

Behavioral Therapy with my clients but I am also eclectic in my approach. I incorporate EMDR, EFT Tapping, Cinema Therapy, Bibliotherapy and Hypnotherapy where indicated. I love empowering people who are feeling small and teaching coping skills for a better quality of life. I have a post-modern view of therapy in that I feel that the client is the expert of their own life and I am here to guide them through the rocky times.

Behind many difficult behaviors is not a child who is trying to make your life harder. Often, it’s a child who is struggling with something they don’t yet have the skills to manage.

🌪️ Big feelings they don’t know how to express.
💔 Hurt they don’t know how to explain.
😞 Frustration they don’t know how to regulate.
🫂 A need for connection they don’t know how to ask for.
❤️ A nervous system searching for safety.

This doesn’t mean we ignore boundaries, consequences, or accountability. Children need all of those things… But when we focus only on punishment, we often miss the message behind the behavior.

Connection doesn’t mean permissiveness; it means getting curious before getting punitive.

It means asking:

✨ What is my child trying to communicate?
✨ What skill might they be missing?
✨ How can I guide them through this moment instead of simply reacting to it?

Children are far more likely to learn when they feel safe, connected, and understood.

Because behavior is communication, and connection is often what helps us hear it.
