Our hearts & prayers are with you.
One year ago, our Hill Country neighbors experienced a flood that changed many lives forever. đź’š
Some lost loved ones. Some lost homes. Some lost places and memories that can never be replaced. For many, the emotions are still very real.
Throughout the month of July, Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Department will offer a simple opportunity for anyone who would like to pause, reflect, and remember.
Beginning today, Wednesday, July 1, and continuing each Wednesday throughout July, the Sisterdale Volunteer Fire Department invites you to stop by the station between 6:00 PM and 7:00 PM to tie a green ribbon on the fence in memory of those lost, in honor of those affected, or simply as a quiet reminder of the people, places, and memories that continue to hold meaning for so many.
There will be no speeches. No program. No expectations. Just a ribbon, a moment, and a place to remember.
Ribbons will remain on the fence throughout July and through the 51st Annual BBQ & Dance on August 8, serving as a visible reminder of those we remember and those still rebuilding.
