A few years ago I was dealing with some serious health issues. The truth is, I’d been r*ped and it seriously f*cked up my world.
I couldn’t sleep. I’d have panic attacks. I’d wake up multiple times in the night hearing noises and instantly feel a cold fear gripping me. I’d get out of my bed, grab my gun, and walk through the dark house waiting to find my abuser.
I went to various doctors, and they said I was totally healthy and it was “all in my head.”
So I went to talk therapy. I journaled. But none of it could take away the feeling of despair and unease in my body.
The problem is, you can talk about the trauma, understand it intellectually, and even forgive the people involved, but if your BODY is still holding onto it, you will stay stuck.
That’s exactly why I created the PRISM Method. 💎
I’m a licensed massage therapist, intuitive healer, trained Medicine Woman and ceremonialist with more than 20 years in the healing field.
As a trauma survivor, and after decades of working with the human body, nervous system, energy and emotions, one thing has become crystal clear to me:
Healing has to go deeper than understanding the story.
The PRISM Method is a trauma-healing modality designed to work with the body, mind and soul, addressing the somatic and nervous-system responses that can keep us looping through old patterns long after we consciously know better.
Sometimes our work looks like inner child healing and reparenting.
Sometimes it looks like creating enough safety for stored emotions to finally come to the surface.
Sometimes it looks like breath, bodywork, energy work, nervous-system regulation or guided meditation.
And sometimes healing looks like simply being held in a safe space without having to explain a damn thing. 💖
My clients often tell me they leave feeling lighter, more grounded, more connected to themselves and experiencing less pain than when they walked through my door.
PRISM was born from my own healing journey, from my experiences with trauma, anxiety and depression, and from my frustration with approaches that treated the mind, body and spirit as though they were separate.
