Let’s talk about local healthcare for a minute…We are a small town blessed with so many wonderful providers, but there’s one team we personally love. Cornerstone Urgent Care & Family Medicine with Ryan Gorman and his incredible staff.

One thing worth knowing up front - Cornerstone doesn't take insurance. It's a self-pay model, meaning you pay directly at your visit instead of wrestling with claims.

Funnily enough, when we first signed up for their family plan, we actually had insurance that would have covered us elsewhere. We chose Cornerstone anyway because we just hate dealing with insurance companies. The experience and the "no-hoops" model at Cornerstone was just THAT much better.

Now that Forest and I are both self-employed, having a provider who genuinely cares about our family and our community matters even more.

We have been seeing Ryan for a few years now, and I can't say enough good things. We rarely wait more than 10 minutes, the staff is a total joy, and the care is top-tier. As a mom, one of my favorite features is that he can fill simple prescriptions (like antibiotics) right there on the spot. It is a literal lifesaver when you have a sick kid and don't want to drive into town during a winter storm just to hit a pharmacy.

We pay for their monthly membership, and it is worth every penny. It gives us direct access to Ryan by text or phone after hours, which is exactly when every parent knows "life happens." It has already saved us a couple of trips to the ER.

This is what I love about living in a small town - a provider who knows you, not just your chart.

What they offer:
1. Urgent care for minor injuries & common illnesses
2. Affordable X-rays and lab services
3. Family medicine (check-ups through chronic care)
4. Same-day or next-day appointments
5. Membership options for weekend and after-hours access

They're the only urgent care center in Bonners Ferry and were voted "Locals' Finest" in both 2023 and 2025 for a reason!

Happy 4th of July!! Our office will be closed Friday at noon so our staff can celebrate the weekend with their families. Please come in today or tomorrow for any medication refills!

Our after-hours line for members will continue to be monitored, but availability will be very limited. Have a safe and blessed holiday weekend!
