Each year during the holiday season, the Cancer Resource Alliance (CRA) sells ornaments to decorate trees at the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center. Anyone may purchase an ornament with a suggested $10 donation in honor of or in memory of someone special. 🎄🐦

All proceeds from these ornaments benefit the CRA, which provides programs and services to help cancer survivors and their families find support during and after diagnosis and treatment.

What’s Up, Doc? 🩺

This summer, Dr. Michael Pearson (Emergency Medicine), Dr. Steven Anderson (AppOrtho), and Dr. Donna Denier (Heart and Vascular Center) have been meeting with community members alongside Rob Hudspeth, President of Appalachian Healthcare Foundation, Sr Vice President of System Advancement.

These open Q&A sessions have focused on healthcare in the High Country, while also highlighting the importance of services like MyUNCChart, which helps patients manage their medical records and communicate with their providers. 💻

A big thank you to Hound Ears Club, Elk River Club, and Blowing Rock Country Club who have hosted these events this summer.

The next What’s Up Doc event is scheduled for Thursday, September 12 at Linville Ridge.

Twenty teams of golfers came together yesterday at Linville Golf Club for the 3rd Annual Robbins Brothers Memorial Golf Tournament. Proceeds from this year’s event benefitted the Seby B. Jones Regional Cancer Center. Congratulations to the Avery YMCA who were the overall winners of the event. ⛳️
