Under Your Skin has been open since 2009... it was the FIRST EVER LEGAL TATTOO STUDIO IN LEWIS COUNTY and with a GREAT and GROWING reputation! We are

now located on route 12 in Boonville,New York in the Shoemakers Plaza, on the opposite end of the laundromat. We are now offering piercings with Crystal! She's super awesome and makes you feel so comfortable! Make an appointment with her for your next piercing today! This is not just a job for me, its a great career and lots of fun. Thanx to all of my repeat long-time customers. If you haven't stopped by the shop located inthe Shoemakers Plaza on Rt 12 in Boonville, you should stop by and check out my work for yourself! This is a clean, relaxed environment. Please, do not bring anyone under the age of 18, thank you :). All the supplies I use to do tattoos are one time use only, I open the sterilized package right in front of you. There are more than 200 colors to choose from. I love doing COVER UPS! They offer a challenge, which as an artist is my favorite part. I love coming up with custom designs. I have lots of photos of artwork I have done. As important as your tattoos are to you, your skin is important to us! Make sure you don't get a sunburn on the area you are about to get a tattoo, because we will not tattoo on a sunburn!
And, you are going to have to keep your tattoo out of the sun and swimming until its healed, to ensure it heals properly. Tattoos are expensive and an investment, so use that sunscreen after its healed 😉

17 years ago today... UYS was born! 💕 Meriah McDonald (with the help and push of Ben) took the leap and started a tattoo business. In 2009, tattoos were not as widely accepted and either were female tattoo artists. We are so thankful for the support from our clients along with the appreciation for body art! Its no longer just a one person private studio. We have such an amazing, talented pack of ladies now at the shop! We try to give each client a personal experience, with a comfortable atmosphere and at the same time keeping it professional and safe!
These pictures are old and I really had to dig 🤣 so here is the very ever first sign I painted to hang up on the side of the road, and a picture of Meriah in the old, old, old tattoo room!
Keep an eye out for next year's 18th birthday party with UYS, and thanks for continuing to support us along the way!
