Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause the skin to furrow and fold, gradually leading to the formation of facial lines that can age you.

Botox is FDA-approved to block nerve signals to muscles temporarily. The injected muscle can no longer contract, which causes the wrinkles to relax and soften. It is most often used on forehead lines, crow’s feet (lines around the eye), and frown lines (between the eyebrows).
