There’s a lot of diabetes information out there. But if you’re someone with diabetes thinking about pregnancy, I know you may be looking for something that feels a little more personal than another place to find information.

I’ve spent years living in and alongside the diabetes community and what I’ve always found most meaningful is having someone who actually knows you 🫶 someone who remembers your story, understands what you’ve been navigating, and can be there as things change.

That’s the kind of support I’ve built Sarah | Full Spectrum Doula + Lactation Educator around.

It’s having someone who knows you well enough to understand what you’re asking, even when you’re not sure how to ask it.

If you’re thinking about pregnancy with diabetes, preconception can be a really valuable time to look at the people who will be supporting you along the way.

You deserve a care team you can talk to, ask questions of, and feel comfortable navigating decisions with.

And you don’t have to wait for a positive pregnancy test to start building that support. 🤍

You can trust your provider, ask questions, and stay connected to your own voice throughout pregnancy.

Especially when diabetes means you’re already navigating a lot of medical care, having support to help you understand your options can make a meaningful difference.

If you’re thinking about pregnancy or already pregnant, I’m here. 🤍

If you’ve been wishing you could just ask your questions about diabetes, feeding, or postpartum… this is that space 🫶

I’m hosting a free live Q&A tonight at 7PM ET on Zoom.

I’m Sarah Petti, a full spectrum doula + lactation educator supporting people navigating pregnancy and postpartum with diabetes.

We’ll just be having an open, relaxed conversation where you can ask questions or listen in.

No pressure, no formal teaching 👏 just support and space to talk things through.

Can’t make it live? A replay will be sent to everyone who signs up. Use the link below or comment FEED and I’ll send it straight to your inbox 📥

Deciding between a VBAC and a repeat cesarean is more nuanced than it often appears online.

This post is based on guidance from American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (), which outlines that this decision involves multiple factors including birth history, uterine incision type, reason for prior cesarean, hospital resources, and personal preferences.

If diabetes is part of your story, it may add additional considerations, but it is not, by itself, a determining factor.

What matters most is individualized counseling that reflects your full health picture.

If you’re in this decision space, I offer 1:1 consultations for VBAC and planned cesarean support. Free consults available via link in bio.

There’s a unique kind of weight that comes with navigating pregnancy, feeding, and postpartum with diabetes

Not just managing blood sugar but constantly having to explain, adapt, and carry it all.

You deserve support that understands both the clinical side and the lived experience 👏
