"What sunscreen should I use? What's the difference between face sunscreen and body sunscreen?
Face sunscreen
- lighter and less greasy
- Less likely to clog pores or trigger breakouts
- can include other skincare ingredients like hyaluronic acid, antioxidants or tint
- layers better under makeup
Body sunscreen
- Usually thicker, heavier, or more water/sweat resistant
- Can feel greasy or pore-clogging on the face for acne-prone people
Here's what matters most:
- Broad spectrum; protects against multiple types of sun damage (UVA & UVB)
- SPF 30 or higher
- Apply 30 minutes prior and every 2 hours while outdoors
- Must be used in your daily regimen
