On Friday, we kicked off National Disability Employment Awareness month with our annual employer event!

As conversations around AI and its implication for the workforce become more relevant than ever, we invited new and existing employer partners to explore: Workforce Innovation and AI-Driven Technology.

Technology has long been a game changer for individuals with disabilities. Dynamic speakers from Spaulding Rehabilitation, Waymo, the Commonwealth, laid out how AI and newer technology, when centered around the person, can expand even more opportunities for independence and empowerment.

Thank you to the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Foundation, MassAbility, and the Massachusetts Apprentice Network for hosting today’s discussion on The Power of Disability Inclusion.

I was honored to moderate a conversation with leaders from CVS Health, EY, and AccuRounds on how disability-inclusive hiring can strengthen talent pipelines, address workforce needs, and drive innovation.

One message stood out: disability inclusion is not a charitable initiative. It is a talent strategy. And if you're waiting until everything is perfect to get started, don't. Start before you feel ready. Small steps can lead to meaningful change.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed to the discussion. If you missed the webinar, you can watch the recording (link in the chat).

I look forward to continuing this important work and advancing disability inclusion as a business imperative.

MassAbility Assistant Commissioner Joan Phillips and Director of Business Relations Jeff Roberge presented the students with their graduation certificates and reminded the graduates that their credentials and commitment to this training serve as their launchpads into a vast world of IT and technology careers.
