🍓🫐Mixed Berry Parfait 🫐🍓

As I measured, stirred, and simmered it brought me back to the early days of my blog. About 8 years ago, I was actually a recipe developer for a website, developing 15 recipes a week. It was insane. It was amazing. It was a lot of work.

I was doing this health, wellness, self development, and spiritual coaching on the side.

Now that I am full time in my coaching, I do less things like this — the more spontaneous and creative content. Anyway, back to the craving and this simple berry jam and parfait recipe.

Before you accept burnout as normal, read this.

I used to think exhaustion meant I was doing something right; almost like suffering was proof of commitment to excellence.

Spoiler: it’s not.

🌿Your nervous system doesn’t care if you’re chasing a deadline or being chased by a lion.
🌿Your nervous system just reads it as stress.

When you stay there long enough, burnout stops feeling like a warning sign and it starts feeling like just… you.

In this space, exhaustion and lack of energy becomes your identity —> I rebuke that for you.

Here’s what I’ve learned in the past decade of doing the actual inner work:
🫐 Repeat the affirmations to manifest a peaceful, slow life AND also build the systems that make it real.
🫐High performance is not about how long you can white knuckle it and suffer.
🫐 High performance lives in your capacity to nourish yourself and recover.

This is something I have to repeat to my clients over and over.

The funny thing?
✨Ths women I work with aren’t lazy.
✨These women are exhausted from being strong in environments that were never built for them.
✨The shift happens when you stop managing your stress and start actually healing it at the root.

That’s what I do in my coaching: We build the systems, the rituals, the nervous system regulation practices, and the strategies that let you show up fully in your business, your body, your life.

In my world, you don’t have to choose between wellbeing and ambition.

Your throat and your womb are connected. Literally.

When we form in the womb, one cell divides into two, one becomes the throat, one becomes the womb. Same tissues, same nerves, and same fascia even as adults.

✨This means the tension you carry in your jaw shows up as tightness in your hips.
✨Neck and shoulder pain leads to pelvic misalignment.
✨And if you’re uncomfortable voicing your truth, you’ll struggle to trust your intuition.

Your womb is the root of your power — W.R.E.A.M. Womb Rules Everything Around Me.

The hormonal and physical shifts of your cycle make you a different person every single day of the month. Your mind, your nutrition, your muscles, your hormones, your voice — all of it is connected to your womb space.

Here’s something to try right now: Inhale through your nose. Exhale through your mouth with a groan. Feel how your hips respond.

That’s the connection.

What if regulating your nervous system was easy?

In a world that throws around wellness tools and modalities that seem complex and labor intensive, I find that the most sustainable practices are simple.

A nice cup of tea, deep breathing, swaying and bouncing to the healing riddims of reggae.

Our ancestors always knew that music was medicine before we had words like “somatic healing,” or “nervous system regulation;” Western science is now catching up.*

I started this platform (my blog and later social media accounts) to show that wellness is not only for individual liberation, but collective healing and honoring the wisdom of our ancestors.

This is exactly what I do in my coaching, reminding people of what exists and how we can merge it into our modern lives.

Buju Banton taught me something about high performance that Brown didn’t even touch.

I grew up in the Virgin Islands reggae was a daily riddim in our house. Relistening to Driver A by Buju Banton stopped me cold recently.

On the surface he’s giving his driver instructions to move product without getting caught.
🚗Don’t stop.
🚗Don’t talk.
🚗Don’t smoke a spliff.
🚗Remember the speed limit.

But listen deeper.
He’s giving a masterclass in staying present and regulated under extreme pressure.
🚗He prays over his driver.
🚗He speaks life over him.
🚗He reminds him of the why.

That’s not drug dealing, that’s leadership.

The most successful people I know have spiritual intelligence and street knowledge — not just book smarts. They stay cool and clear while everything moves fast around them.

Avoiding stress doesn’t build capacity, staying present inside of it does.

This is what I help my clients build. Presence, healing, and real results — promotions, business growth, prosperous lives. No burnout required.
